Professional Badminton Player
I am Aditya Diwakar, a professional badminton player from Karnataka. I began my badminton journey at the age of 8 and have since represented my state and country at various prestigious levels. Over the years, I have competed in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories, achieving significant milestones along the way. I am currently ranked World No. 235 in Men’s Doubles and World No. 460 in Singles, and have held the No.1 position in U-13,U-15, U-17, and U-19 doubles in Karnataka. My career highlights include winning a bronze medal at the Uganda International Challenge 2025, securing a silver medal at the Karnataka State Badminton Championships in Men’s Doubles (Shivamogga), being a 4-time State Champion, and a back-to-back CISCE National Champion. These achievements have also earned me qualifications for upcoming international tournaments, further fueling my commitment to excel at the highest level. Previously trained under the excellent guidance of Mr. U Vinod Kumar at Selenite Sports Academy, Mr. Harish Kumar B R of Hollyhock Badminton Academy, Sri. Ashok Raman International Player and National Badminton Singles Champion(veterans) and Ajit Wijetilekk.
My Other Interests apart from badminton: I'm a State level Basketball player, Horse rider, Black Belt Dan II in karate, Keyboard player who practices classical and western music, a good roller skater and swimmer. Above all I was awarded the Best Child and Best Outgoing Sportsperson from my school for excellent performance in academics and extracurricular activities.
